As I step into the role of Secretary of the Indian Plastic Federation, I do so with immense humility, gratitude, and a profound sense of responsibility. This is not just a personal milestone, but a shared opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the growth and betterment of our vibrant industry and its members.

I am truly honoured to serve this dynamic and diverse community that plays a vital role in India’s industrial and economic development. With a legacy spanning over six decades and the strength of 1000+ members, our Federation stands at a pivotal juncture—where innovation, sustainability, and collaboration will define the future of the plastics sector.

Strategic Priorities for the Term Ahead
  • Accelerating Member Growth: Enabling business facilitation, trade promotion, and enhanced networking opportunities.
  • Promoting Skill Development & Knowledge Sharing: Through seminars, workshops, training programs, and industry-academia linkages.
  • Proactive Policy Advocacy: Ensuring our collective voice is represented effectively at key policy and regulatory forums.
  • Driving Sustainability & Innovation: Promoting recyclable materials, circular economy models, and clean technology adoption.
  • Strengthening National & International Partnerships: Expanding reach through collaborations that foster exports, joint ventures, and investments.
  • Supporting Compliance with EPR Norms: Assisting members in aligning with the Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 (Amended 2022)—including CPCB portal registration, EPR Action Plan preparation, and meeting recycling targets.
  • Enabling Pollution Control Best Practices: Collaborating with regulatory bodies, recyclers, and sustainability experts to reduce environmental impact and enhance plastic waste management systems.
  • Aligning with National Missions: Encouraging active industry participation in initiatives like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, focusing on awareness, responsible usage, and efficient collection and disposal.
